PDF: Function Health – June 2025 Comprehensive Assessment

Purpose of Testing

This comprehensive advanced health assessment was performed through Function Health using Quest Diagnostics laboratory testing. The purpose was to provide a broad evaluation of cardiovascular risk, autoimmune activity, inflammation, metabolic health, nutritional status, hormone balance, thyroid function, and overall biological health.

This report represents a major expansion of the Health Inventory because it provides advanced biomarkers beyond routine physician laboratory testing.

Major Findings

Autoimmune Evaluation

Key findings:

  • ANA: Positive
  • ANA Titer: 1:320
  • Pattern: Homogeneous
  • Rheumatoid Factor: Negative
  • Thyroid antibodies: Negative
Interpretation

The positive ANA confirms the autoimmune serology previously identified in your medical history. However, the absence of disease-specific antibodies and the lack of active inflammation suggest persistent immune activity without evidence of active systemic autoimmune disease.

Cardiovascular Evaluation

Advanced cardiovascular testing included:

  • Omega-3 Index
  • Lipoprotein analysis
  • Apolipoproteins
  • Lipid particle evaluation

Key findings:

  • Favorable Omega-3 status
  • Favorable HDL profile
  • Low triglyceride pattern
  • Continued monitoring of LDL-related markers recommended
Interpretation

This advanced testing provides important information beyond a standard lipid panel and will become a key component of the cardiovascular trend analysis for Dr. Yoo.

Metabolic Health

Key findings:

  • Glucose regulation remained excellent.
  • Insulin sensitivity markers were favorable.
  • Metabolic markers were consistent with improved dietary control.
Interpretation

The findings support the significant metabolic improvements documented since beginning your dietary changes in January 2024.

Thyroid Evaluation

Key findings:

  • TSH: Within normal range
  • Free T4: Within normal range
  • Free T3: Lower than optimal
Interpretation

Thyroid replacement continues to maintain normal standard thyroid markers, although the lower Free T3 value remains an important discussion point for thyroid monitoring.

Nutritional Evaluation

Testing included:

  • Vitamin markers
  • Mineral status
  • Omega fatty acid profile
  • Methylmalonic acid
  • Homocysteine
Interpretation

Nutritional markers were generally favorable, supporting adequate nutritional status.

Hormonal Evaluation

Testing included:

  • Testosterone
  • Free Testosterone
  • SHBG
  • DHEA
  • LH
  • FSH
  • Estradiol
  • Prolactin
Interpretation

This report provides a valuable baseline for future age-related hormone monitoring.

Overall Interpretation

The June 2025 Function Health assessment represents a major expansion of your medical record. It confirms several important themes already developing in your Health Inventory:

  • Inflammation remains controlled.
  • Autoimmune antibodies persist but without evidence of active systemic inflammatory disease.
  • Metabolic health is excellent.
  • Cardiovascular risk assessment requires interpretation beyond LDL alone.
  • Thyroid function remains stable but warrants continued observation.
  • Nutritional status is strong.

This report serves as the foundation for the advanced preventive health phase of your Health Inventory.

Longitudinal Significance

This report contributes to:

  • Autoimmune Trend Analysis
  • Cardiovascular Risk Analysis
  • Metabolic Health Trends
  • Thyroid Trends
  • Nutritional Trends
  • Biological Aging Assessment
  • Physician Consultation Summaries
