Purpose of Testing

This is the earliest laboratory report currently preserved in the Health Inventory. At age 76, it provides an excellent baseline of overall health before the development of later cardiovascular and inflammatory concerns. It establishes reference values for comparison with all future laboratory studies.

Major Findings

Metabolic Health

Results

  • Glucose: 78 mg/dL
  • Kidney function normal
  • Electrolytes normal
  • Liver enzymes normal
Interpretation

Excellent fasting glucose with no evidence of impaired glucose regulation. Comprehensive metabolic testing demonstrated normal kidney function, liver function, and electrolyte balance.

Kidney Function

Results

  • BUN: 19 mg/dL
  • Creatinine: 1.01 mg/dL
  • eGFR: 72 mL/min/1.73 m²
Interpretation

Kidney function was well preserved and provides an excellent baseline for future comparison.

Liver Function

Results

  • AST: 25 IU/L
  • ALT: 23 IU/L
  • Alkaline Phosphatase: 61 IU/L
  • Bilirubin: 0.5 mg/dL
Interpretation

All liver function tests were within normal limits, indicating healthy hepatic function.

Complete Blood Count

Results

  • WBC: 4.4
  • Hemoglobin: 13.0 g/dL
  • Hematocrit: 40.4%
  • Platelets: 200
Interpretation

Blood counts were normal with no evidence of anemia, infection, or platelet abnormalities. This establishes an important pre-inflammatory hematologic baseline.

Lipid Profile

Results

  • Total Cholesterol: 144 mg/dL
  • LDL Cholesterol: 68 mg/dL
  • HDL Cholesterol: 66 mg/dL
  • Triglycerides: 52 mg/dL
Interpretation

This lipid profile is excellent.

Particularly noteworthy are:

  • High HDL cholesterol
  • Very low triglycerides
  • LDL well within the reference range

This represents one of the healthiest lipid profiles found in your laboratory history.

Cardiac Marker

BNP

Result

  • 85.5 pg/mL
Interpretation

BNP was within the laboratory reference range, providing an early baseline for future cardiovascular comparison.

Thyroid Function

Result

  • TSH: 1.540 μIU/mL
Interpretation

Thyroid function was normal and well regulated at the time of testing.

Prostate Screening

Result

  • PSA: 2.2 ng/mL
Interpretation

PSA was within the normal reference range for age.

Overall Interpretation

This report documents excellent overall health at age 76. Blood counts, kidney function, liver function, thyroid function, glucose metabolism, and cardiovascular markers were all within expected ranges. The lipid profile was particularly favorable, with low LDL cholesterol, high HDL cholesterol, and very low triglycerides.

Importantly, there is no laboratory evidence of systemic inflammation, anemia, kidney dysfunction, liver disease, or metabolic impairment. This report provides a valuable baseline for understanding the health changes that occurred in later years.

Longitudinal Significance

This report established baseline values for:

  • Complete blood count
  • Kidney function
  • Liver function
  • Lipid profile
  • Thyroid function
  • Cardiac marker (BNP)
  • Glucose metabolism
  • PSA

It serves as the earliest documented laboratory reference point in the Health Inventory.

Clinical Importance

Foundational Baseline Study

This report establishes the earliest documented laboratory baseline available and demonstrates excellent overall health before later cardiovascular changes and the systemic inflammatory illness that developed in 2021.

Key Historical Value

This report documents your health before the major cardiovascular issues of later years and nearly eight years before the severe systemic inflammatory illness of 2021. It establishes that your kidney function, liver function, blood counts, glucose regulation, and lipid profile were all in excellent condition at the beginning of the Health Inventory timeline.
